His accomplishments include 2 Academy Award nominations, 3 Golden Globe wins, and a lot of other nominations and wins, a tremendous popular and commercial success, partially in his roles as Sherlock Holmes in Sherlock Holmes (2009) and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011).  He also played Tony Stark/Iron Man in the 2012 phenomenon The Avengers.

I personally know him as Tony Stark as Iron Man in Iron ManIron Man 2Iron Man 3.  My first time seeing Iron Man was a few years ago and I just remember so much action and funny moments, especially for his character.  Every time when some cool action packed moment comes he always says something hilarious and sometimes you can't stop laughing.

So far I don't think he's working on any movies right now, but he has 3 upcoming movies.  The first one is Chef (2014), the second on is The Judge (2014), and his third that I'm really excited for is The Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015).  Throughout his life making movies he has made a bunch of money.  Richard III (1995) $50,000, Danger Zone (1996) $5000,000, Game 6 (2005) $100/day, Iron Man (2008) $500,000, Sherlock Holmes (2009) $9,000,000, Iron Man 2 (2010) $10,000,000, Due Date (2010) $12,000,000, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011) $15,000,000, and The Avengers (2012) $50,000,000.

Unfortunately he dropped out of Santa Monica High School to pursue acting full time.  His father introduced him to drugs, offering him a marijuana joint at age 8.  Has been arrested from at least 1996 to 2001.  He has been married twice, he's currently in his second marriage.  His first marriage was to Deborah Falconer from May 29, 1992 - April 26, 2004 and had 1 son.  His second marriage is to Susan Downey August 27, 2005 - Present and had another son, he kept his first son from his first marriage.  He's been to a couple of rehabilitation centers and a lot of other bad things.  I'm not going to name everything he's done with his life, but make sure you read it and see how he was then and now.  Lets hope that he stays that way for the rest of his life.

Geoffrey Rush

Geoffrey Roy Rush was born on July 6, 1951 in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, but was raised in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia after his parents split up.  He attended Everton Park State High School during his formative years.  His early interest in the theatre led to his 1971 stage debut at age 20 in "Wrong Side of the Moon" with the Queensland Theatre Company.

Geoffrey Roy Rush

I know him as Captain Barbosa from Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, just at the ending of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

He suffered a temporary nervous breakdown in 1992 due to overwork and anguish over his lack of career advancement.  Within a few years filmgoers finally began taking notice of Geoffrey after his performance in Children of the Revolution (1996).  This led him to THE role of a lifetime as the highly dysfunctional piano prodigy David Helfgott in Shine (1996).  His astonishing tour-de-force performance won him every unthinkable award imaginable, including the Oscar, Golden Globe, British Film Award and Australian Film Institute Award.

Married to Jane Menelaus from November 20, 1988 - Present, and has 2 children.  Angelica was born in 1992, and James was born in 1995.

He has been in more movies that some of us can't even imagine.  Here's a couple of them: Mystery Men (1999), House on Haunted Hill (1999), Finding Nemo (2003), and The Life and Death of Peter Stellers (2004).

I'm really excited for his upcoming movie The Book Thief!  We're reading it in class right now and we're almost done with it.  It's about the horrors of WWII Germany, a young girl named Liesel finds solace by stealing books and sharing them with others.  Under the stairs in her home (with her adoptive parents), a Jewish refuge is being sheltered by her adoptive parents.  Im not going to give anymore spoilers, YOU HAVE TO READ IT FIRST!!!!!!!

The Book Thief

Anyways, he has made a real fortune from his acting career.  Let's hope his acting career keeps moving forward, while he's still alive at least.
